Midweek Communion Service
There is a Communion Service at the Castle Grove residential care home at 11:00am on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month. All are very welcome to attend.
There are meetings for prayer in Bampton church on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings, from 8:30am to 9:00am.
The housegroup meets one or two afternoons each month for a quiet time of prayer and discussion, followed by a cup of tea. Phone Daphne Osborne on 01398 331142 for details.
This study group of about 12 people meets every two weeks, and is following study guides developed by the Diocese of Exeter to explore different aspects of Christianity. For more information, phone Jane Wilson, 01398 332135.
Tuesday Coffee Mornings
Do come and join us in the church for coffee, cake and a chat any time from 9:30am to 11:30am on Tuesday mornings. All ages very welcome, plenty of toys available for young children. We are not meeting on December 23 or 30 but start again on January 6.
Knit and Natter
Every Monday (except Bank Holidays) in Bampton Church from 2pm. Either bring your own project or help knit for a charity. Tuition available! More information from Sheila, 01398 331834.
There is an active group of bellringers in Bampton, always on the lookout for new members – who need not have any previous experience or knowledge of bellringing. Contact Mike Hatchett, 01398 331843.
St Michael’s Church is also home to the Bampton Heritage Centre, which has displays and items of historical interest about the town today and in the past. It is open (during the winter) from 11am to 3pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and from 1pm to 3pm on Sundays.
