Harvest Festival and CHAT talk

We had a good turnout for our annual Harvest Festival on 13th September.
The church was decorated beautifully with flowers plus gifts of home grown fruit and vegetables. Peter Bangs from CHAT (the Church Housing Action Team) was the guest speaker. He gave details of how this charity was set up and what it does for people in need in the Mid Devon area.  As well as offering free support and advice on housing, debt and money, CHAT provides practical help through its foodbank, pantry and household items store. There is a drop-off point in church for anyone wishing to donate.
The service was followed by a Bring and Share lunch, which was enjoyed by all.
