Safeguarding is about the care and protection given to vulnerable people. This includes: children, young people, elderly people, and anyone who is vulnerable due to their circumstances or to the role they may have when dealing with other people or children. But it’s also about how we promote a safer culture for everyone. This means that we will promote the welfare of children, young people and adults, work to prevent abuse from occurring, seek to protect those that are at risk of being abused and respond well to those that have been abused.
So we take safeguarding seriously. If you are concerned about anyone’s safety, or about the level of care and protection given to them or about the actions of someone working with them please speak to a person with safeguarding responsibilities about it.
