Baptisms
A Service of Baptism is the chance to declare that a baby (or an adult) is going to live their lives according to the Christian faith. For a baby or child, Godparents give support in prayer and by their example. For an adult, they can step forward and make their own personal commitment.
Services can be arranged either separately on Sunday afternoons or Saturdays or they can be included in regular services on Sunday mornings when the whole congregation can welcome family and friends.
Weddings
We have several weddings a year from our local parishes and from around the UK and the world. A wedding is a celebration of love which we believe is a gift from God. It is a commitment made in front of God and family and guests, in which the couple publicly declare their love and promise to work together to build their married life on the foundation of God’s blessing.
Couples are encouraged to make contact with us to enquire about legalities, format of services and possible dates. We look forward to helping you make your wedding a very special day.
Funerals
If you are needing a funeral service for a loved one then please contact us. We will do everything we can to help you in what we know is one of life’s most difficult times. We work with local funeral directors and can help you to arrange an appropriate service to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend your loved one into God’s care.
Services can be held in church, with readings and music with one of our organists leading us in familiar well-loved hymns or can be held in a local crematorium.
All the necessary arrangements can be talked through and made.
