Easter Message from the Rector

Having arrived here only a few weeks ago it feels like Easter has arrived very quickly this year! But it certainly doesn’t feel like it has arrived too soon.
Easter is the celebration of the church’s year which speaks most clearly of hope. Hope for the future. Hope for our world.
And hope cannot arrive a moment too soon!
The night before Jesus was betrayed he spoke to his followers honestly about the challenges we all face in this world:
“In this world you will have trouble,” Jesus said.
“But fear not, I have overcome the world.”
Though we are broken and bereft by the troubles of this world we are all welcome to reach out to the one who overcame death itself. It is in the presence of the Risen Lord Jesus that we find rest for our weary souls.
Happy Easter, Revd Charles Wheeler
